S.Coups of SEVENTEEN exempted from military service due to knee injury. PLEDIS Entertainment confirms comeback rumors.

SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups has been exempted from military service due to a knee injury sustained last year.

On March 1, PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced, “S.Coups underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee joint. He has been undergoing physical rehabilitation therapy since last year.”

The agency continued, “As a result, he was classified as Grade 5.”

According to South Korea’s conscription system, men in Grade 5 are exempt from mandatory military service during peacetime. In the event of war, they are required to support the military through labor.

PLEDIS Entertainment also addressed reports of SEVENTEEN preparing for an April comeback, stating, “We will provide an official announcement regarding [SEVENTEEN’s] precise comeback schedule at a later date.”

Meanwhile, PLEDIS Entertainment recently announced that both S.Coups and Jeonghan would be resuming group activities this month, beginning with SEVENTEEN’s upcoming encore concert in Incheon.
