Joey King defends ‘The Kissing Booth’ against Jacob Elordi’s critique, highlighting the joy and emotional connection she experienced during filming.

Joey King has come to the defense of the popular Netflix franchise, “The Kissing Booth,” following criticism from her former co-star and ex-boyfriend, Jacob Elordi. Despite Elordi recently describing the movies and their sequels as “ridiculous” and expressing his regret for being a part of them, King offers a different perspective.

In an interview with Variety, King deemed it “unfortunate” that someone would feel that way, asserting that she had a great time making the films. While Elordi has voiced his discontent with the franchise on multiple occasions, King is not alone in her support. Taylor Zakhar Perez, who starred in the second installment, also defended the movies, noting that for many fans, “The Kissing Booth” served as a beacon of light during dark times.

Despite the criticism, King even expressed her willingness to be part of a fourth installment, suggesting it could explore the characters’ lives when they are in their 50s. While Elordi’s opinions remain negative, it appears that the franchise has passionate advocates who appreciate the emotional connection the films have forged with their audience.
